Edward S. Penz

Edward S. Penz of Richfield, MN passed away on July 22, 2014 at 82 years of age.  Ed was a caring son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and uncle.  His greatest passion was his grandchildren and his enthusiasm for sports.  Ed was a graduate of Mpls South High School Class of 1950, a Cpl in the Army (Korean War) and a member of the Wood, Wire & Metal Lathers Local Union 190 for over 50 years.  Since his youth, Ed enjoyed fishing for walleye on Mille Lacs Lake.  He loved playing and coaching many sports and in later years was the proudest grandparent in the stand. He has filled our lives with many wonderful memories that we will cherish forever.   He is preceded in death by his wife, Joan; longtime companion, Patricia Cantin; parents, Edward & Catherine Penz.  He is survived by son, Michael (Peggy) Penz; daughters, Debra (Pat) Hamer, Kathryn (Neal) Johnson; his precious grandchildren, Jake, Lexi, MacKenzie, Branden, Cami and Brett and brother, Edwin (Sharron) Penz.
