Malcolm W. Glad, age 94, of Bloomington, born August 18, 1920 in Lancaster, Minnesota. He was a Marine Corps veteran of WWII, serving in campaigns at Guadalcanal, Guam, Bougainville and Iwo Jima. He had a career as a self-employed building contractor. He was a member of the Zuhrah Shrine. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Bonnie; daughter, Julie Smith; granddaughter, Kaleigh (David) Scholz; great-grandchildren, Timothy and Isabellah; nieces, nephews and many friends. Preceded in death by parents, Peter and Sophie Glad; and siblings, Lloyd, Palmer, Andrew, Grant, infant sister, Sara and Mildred Sjoberg.
Funeral Service 10:30 A.M. Thursday, October 23, 2014, at Grace Lutheran Church, 8700 Old Cedar Ave., Bloomington. Interment Ft. Snelling. Visitation Wednesday, 5-8 P.M. at Morris Nilsen Chapel, 6527 Portland Ave. S., Richfield, and one hour before service at Church.
