Donald F. Olson

Donald F. Olson age 95 passed away November 25, 2015. He was a Corporal in the Army Air Corps during WWII, maintained a love of military aircraft and flying model airplanes throughout his life. He was a prolific poet, writing thousands of poems in his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, bird hunting, playing cards and blackberry brandy. He was a proud, lifelong resident of St. Paul, and was deeply loved by his family. Preceded in death by wife, Lucille; friend, Lu Schmitt and longtime companion, Ruth Eggum. Survived by son, Gary (Maxine); grandchildren, Eric, Kristin (Mark), Katherine, Beth (Mason); great-grandchildren, Christopher, Rachael, Bennett; nephews, Brad (Mary) Olson, Tim (Fran) Schmitt and many other family and friends.
