Judith M. Hanson

Judith M. Hanson age 88 of Bloomington. Judy died peacefully on January 6, 2016 at her home in The Waters of Plymouth, with her family at her side. Born on April 3, 1927 in Paynesville, MN she attended Concordia College, married her loving husband Howard in 1950 in Bagley MN, and moved to Bloomington, MN in 1967. After retiring from Ramsey County Human Services in 1989, Judy remained busy with family and friends. Her talent as an artist expressed itself in charcoal, oil and especially china painting. Her plates and Christmas decorations were prized by family and friends. Judy recently had a one woman exhibition of her favorite pieces at The Waters of Plymouth. Judy was preceded in death by her loving husband, Howard. She is survived by her daughters, Susan Hanson, Nancy (Rick) Turnquist, Lori Barkley; her loving grandchildren, Whitney and Kelsey Barkley and Zach Turnquist; her sisters, Audrey (Rod) Angstman and Margaret Edwards; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, who will miss her loving nature.
