Helen,
We are so very sorry about Bobs death. He was such a wonderful man…we were very fond of him. We are concerned for you, too, so please don’t hesitate to call us if you need anything. We still have that car you liked so much.
Thank you, Helen, for your kindness and friendship with our daughter, Patrice, and her wonderful family. They love you a lot.
Tom and Jan Krocheski
With love,

Dear Helen and family: My heart is heavy for you and family, such a wonderful person in so many ways. I am so sadden for you folks as I know he will be missed by all. Just know my heart, thoughts and prayers are with you. I have so many memories of Bob, we had our serious talks about the Lord, polotics, etc and we had our fun times and we would laugh together I enjoyed his laugh so much, it cheered me up many times. Then of course there was our special little joke we had together, we always had a good laugh about that. You two were the ideal couple love was there!!!! You two were like teen agers or newlyweds your love to one another was so precious, so visible. Helen, if you ever want to call and talk I have a big ear and will be there for you, I know how helpful that is. And lets not loose our email contact. We can rejoice as Bob is with his Lord and he will probably get a big white horse to ride around heaven. Helen you are so loved and I will be praying for you.
To the Andersen family:
Although Bob and I never served together, we both served in the 7th Cavalry Regiment. He during WWII with B Troop and I with Alpha Company during Vietnam. That was our connection.
As I am the Scribe for the 7th Cavalry, he and I “spoke” many times over the years. In 2010 he spoke at our luncheon in Minneapolis about his Horse Cavalry days. Ride One – Groom Four!
My Horse was a Huey Helicopter.
He also proudly pointed out that although our names were similar his was with an ‘e.’
His passing leaves a void for the family and with me, for I now have only one remaining WWII 7th Cavalry Veteran to call friend.
He like many before have passed into the mythical place that we Cavalrymen call Fiddlers Green.
Till we meet again – ‘Hey Bob!’
GarryOwen.

Dear Steve and Mary,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Love Joel and Cleone.
Thinking of you all tonight. What a beautiful celebration of Bob’s life today! He would have loved it! Bob and Helen have given our family so much joy over the past 12+ years. It is impossible to think of our home without the comfort of knowing Bob and Helen were right there! I thought of them every day as I spied them through the window doing dishes, talking on the phone or, last fall, pulling weeds by hand! It isn’t going to feel like home without them here and this causes our hearts to ache. I did not have present grandparents so Bob was really the grandfather I never had. I love him and will miss him even though I can take comfort in knowing he lived a wonderful life, he lived and died the way he would have wanted to and now can be with all he loved who went before him. Helen we will come to visit you LOTS. You will get sick of us!
