February 12, 1965 - April 28, 2016
Monica Oliveros Strout, age 51, tragically on April 28, 2016. Survived by precious children, Samantha and Christopher; parents, Sue and Donald Juntunen and Manuel and Carmela Oliveros; beloved siblings, Manuel and Denisse; in-laws, Terry Strout and Joelle and Ken Tannehill; nephews, Dominic and Ryan; stepsister, Adriana (Krech) and children; and extended family and friends too numerous to mention. Preceded in death by father-in-law, William Strout. Monica was a longtime MN Dept of Revenue employee and a valued parent volunteer with St. Thomas Academy and Visitation School. She will be remembered primarily, though, as an indescribably devoted mother and stellar friend.

Samantha and Christopher, your mother was so deeply proud of you both! Together you brightened her world making all things magical and possible. Monica’s joy resonated with the kindest of heart. She was compassionate and desired greatly to do the best she could on behalf of others. Her smiling face will forever be missed, yet in the days and months ahead you will discover that your mom will forever be near.
– Extending prayers of comfort for all of Monica’s family members.
Dear family of Monica,
I went to Sibley with Monica. I have always remembered her as someone who was so smiley, loved to laugh, and had a good sense of humor. She was also such a nice person, and was never mean to anyone; she was very kind. I and my brother, Keith, who went to school with Manuel, are very sorry for your loss. She was a lovely, lovely person…….
Samantha, Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. Deepest sympathy to you and your family.
