Fabio Mauricio Aldana-Torres, age 48, of Bloomington, passed away on May 8th. Fabio was a kind and giving person who loved his family. He especially adored his nieces and nephews and had a soft spot in his heart for those in need. Fabio was an avid reader, appreciated cars and NASCAR racing. He LOVED the Green Bay Packers. He was passionate about cooking and was very good at it. He had a resilient spirit and a funny sense of humor. He is preceded in death by his biological parents, Jose M. and Elisa E. Aldana; brothers, Jose R. Aldana and Michael Connell; as well as his maternal and paternal grandparents. Survived by his adoptive parents, Stanley and Martha Lucia Connell; siblings, Julia (Jay) Theisen, Carlos (Tatiana) Connell and Leslie Connell-Torres; sister-in-law, Ruth (Rob) Aldana-Rickettes; as well as 12 nieces and nephews and many friends.
Following Fabio's wishes, there will be no service. He will be missed.
God bless you Mauricio, you were a kind soul. Your life was too short….you made the world a better place with your presence. I only wish I had a chance to know who you became after high school, and regain the friendship I was fortunate to have enjoyed in our youth. I also wish I had been a much better friend and regret that I never had a chance to apoogize for my unkind treatment at times when we were kids, you never deserved any of it, I hope you had a great life after high school, I am fortunate to have known you. RIP.
