Chloie G. Grieme, age 82, of Richfield, MN passed away on June 8, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. Chloie Geraldine Vosldal was born September 1, 1933 in Howard, SD to Mark and Emma (Ristesund) Volsdal. She was baptized and later confirmed at Bethany Lutheran Church in Howard, SD. Chloie graduated from Howard High School in 1952, after graduation she moved to Minneapolis, MN. On January 24, 1953 Chloie married the love of her life, Ernst A. Grieme. They moved back to South Dakota and raised their children, Allan, Debra and Mark. After their children were grown they moved back to Minneapolis. Family was important to Chloie. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. We were all so blessed to have had her in our lives. She had many hobbies, loved watching the Vikings football games during which her emotions could run high. Chloie loved celebrating the holidays and spending quality time with her family. She was a gentle soul and provided a solid foundation for her children and grandchildren. The greatest challenge in her life was her long and courageous journey through Alzheimer's which she did with her husband, children and grandchildren by her side. Grateful for having shared her life are her husband Ernie, children Allan (Sue) Grieme, Debra (Robert) Guffin and Mark (Lisa) Grieme; grandchildren, Molly (Tyler) Lego, Bryan (Cora) Grieme, Macie (Jordan) Illsley, Luke Guffin, Sarah (Tim) Washkowiak, Ellie (fiance' Ian), Emma Guffin, Tyler Grieme, Heather Grieme, Jamie (Brent) Vetter; Ben (Amy) Hager; great-grandchildren, Cash, Conrad and Cecelia; Ruby and Luella; Lucas and Sophia; Sylas, Charlie, Lucy and Gracie, and a nephew, Tom Lauer. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mark and Emma Volsdal; sister, Agnes (Tom) Lauer; brothers, Leif, Loyd and Lloyd Volsdal; grandson, Baby Boy Grieme; and a nephew, Jerry Lauer. Interment at a later date in Howard, SD.
Memorials may be given to Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, Richfield or to the Alzheimer's Association.

To The Grieme family,
I know Chloie has been ill for such a long time. I was saddened to hear that. Take comfort in knowing she will be a guardian angel to all of you now that she is gone. She will continue to occupy your hearts for many, many years.
She had such a great laugh and I remember that we enjoyed so many times with our families and Tyler, Heather, Mark and Vickie. When we reminisce we always seem to find something about Ernie and Chloie especially from the Les and Nellie days when they were neighbors. It was always fun to see her during holidays and special occasions.
I am hopeful that you are all able to remember good times with her and I know you were all special to her. She was very proud of her family.

My deepest sympathies to Chloie’s family. I first met them all when I was growing up on Beach Street in Huron and I did babysitting for the family. Our families attended the same church and spent time together years ago. I always remember her smile and happy disposition. I now have a grandchild named “Chloe”. May all your good memories of your wife, mother and grandmother give you comfort. She is now resting in the arms of her loving Savior.
Ernie I am sorry to hear Chloie that pass away . I know the feeling . I hope to make the Interment in Howard.
Ernie and family I so sorry the hear of the passing of Chloie. I remember when you and Chloie spent time with my mom and dad in Huron. Those were the good days! My deepest sympathies to you and your family.
