wonderful memories of my Uncle Doug. My goodness, life was always eventful and exciting around him. His laughter and smile was contagious. He and my dad, Bob Breshears, really had fun times.. (they were both a little ornery!)
we took a scary ride down dads peach orchard one year. It was on quite a hill, and the tractor lost its brakes! myself, Valli and Melodee were on the trailer with Uncle Doug, and Dad was driving… Dad was running over smaller trees trying to slow us down. Mom and Aunt Fern were screaming at the bottom of the hill… Uncle Doug decided he shoud just throw all us kids off….. well we kids were not too excited about that…
Thankfully a tree stopped us. the moms were still panicking, but Uncle Doug and Dad were laughing and thought that was great fun..since everyone was ok….
so many more stories of my special Uncle.. his kindness and sense of humor will always be in my memories…. God Bless you Uncle Doug…See you again one day.
My grandpa-I will miss you forever! Especially your laugh. Rest in peace Gramps!
