John P.E. Hegge, age 90 of Bloomington. John was born on March 12, 1926 in Esmond ND and grew up in Summit SD. He was a retired General Credit Manager with PAKO Corporation. Passed away on September 13th surrounded by loving family, leaving a rich legacy of Norwegian ancestry and Masonic teachings as a 50 year Mason with Minnehaha Lodge #165, also Phoenix Daylight Lodge and Scottish Rite. The son of Norwegian immigrants, he rediscovered family in Norway, strengthening ties with his heritage. He was a member of Gudbrandsdal Lag as well as Sons of Norway, Vonheim Lodge and charter member of Saga Klubben. John was an avid golfer, loyal friend and devoted to his family. Proudly served in the US Navy during WWII. Preceded in death by his parents, John and Ethel Hegge; brother, Robert Hegge, sister-in-law, Connie Hegge and nephew, Erik Hegge. Survived by wife Irene; children and their spouses, Martha (Bruce) Balfanz, J. Mark (Patricia) Hegge and Carl (Laurie) Hegge; grandchildren, Christine (Christian) Hegge Finch, John W. (Ashley) Hegge, Katie (Russell) Balfanz Anway, Gregory Balfanz, Peter Hegge and Daniel Hegge; great-grandchildren, Jacob Finch, Audrey and Jack Hegge; niece, Kristen (Curtis) Hegge Herbert; step-daughters, Nancy (Brant) Vigtel Schulz, Maren Vigtel Lauritsen and Annette Vigtel Nickelson; step-grandchildren, Annalise (Tommy) McMahon and Mark Schulz.
