August 25, 1922 - October 5, 2016
Pauline Roselyn Jorgenson, (Marsh), age 94, of Eden Prairie. Pauline was born at her parent's farm in Feldon Township, near St. James MN on August 25, 1922, and baptized on September 10th by Rev. E.C. Birkholz at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in St. James. Pauline played tenor saxaphone in the 4-H Club and St. James High School Bands. She graduated from St. James High School May 31, 1940. During the war, she worked for the Watonwan County Treasurer and the Tubular Micrometer Co. in St. James.
She was married to Ervin Jorgenson at St. Paul's by Rev. Birkolz on Sunday afternoon November 10, 1946. She and Ervin moved to Minneapolis. At this time, with all the servicemen returning home, there was a housing shortage. The newlyweds first lived in a boarding house until they found an apartment at 816 East 17th St. They were thankful for a place to live, though it was effectively a walled-in porch and the winters were cold with the indoor temperatures dropping down to 40 degrees. Pauline worked for Pako Photo Co. prior to beginning their family.
Pauline and Ervin became members of Pilgrim Lutheran Church in the 1940s. They were both active supporters and Pauline was very active in the Pilgrim Church Guild. Her hobbies included crafts, making afghans and family genealogy, which she had taken back many generations to the 1600s.
She was a stay-at-home Mom. She ferried her sons to countless baseball games and practices in the family's 1949 Chrysler. As her sons grew older, she worked as a cashier at Dayton's department store at Southdale, which was the world's first fully enclosed "shopping center". Later she worked part-time for 16 years at the First Federal Savings and Loan office at 65th Street & Nicollet Ave. in Richfield, just a few blocks from their home.
Erv and Pauline instilled a love of travel in their boys by taking many camping trips through Minnesota and the western states. Later, when they retired, they spent many winters at a trailer park in Phoenix along with many other "snow birds" from Minnesota.
She is survived by her two sons, Wayne (Carol) Jorgenson of Eden Prairie MN, and Warren (Pat) Jorgenson of Easton PA; two grandchildren, Michael Jorgenson of Tokyo, Japan and Lindsay (Mark) Narayan of Eden Prairie; three great-grandchildren, Kai, Arianna and Anabella Narayan;; her brother, Kenneth (Kathy) Marsh of Burnsville MN and several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be directed to Pilgrim Lutheran Church or Mount Hope Cemetery.

Our family would like to have a flower arrangement present at the visitation and funeral for Pauline Jorgensen. We are from St.James and friends of the family. How do we proceed?

Our sympathies to the Jorgenson families. Many good memories are stored in my heart. Mom will be there to welcome her in heaven!
When I look at pictures of my parents I am reminded of the great friendship they had with Pauline and Ervin. We were always excited when the Jorgenson’s would come down to visit us. I have many great memories. Please know that your family is in my prayers.
