Robert Alan Brown

Robert Alan Brown, age 99, formerly of Bloomington, went to be with the Lord on Nov. 5, 2016. Born in Hinckley, MN to Ernest and Effie (Becksted) Brown on April 1, 1917. He spent his boyhood and teenage years in Hinckley and graduated from Hinckley High School. He enlisted in the Army Air Corps in December 1941 and served his country during WWII in England, Belgium and France receiving the Purple Heart, the Soldiers Medal and the Air Medal. He stayed in the Air Force, spending 24 years in all, serving also during both the Korean and Vietnam Wars. In 1942 he married Lucille Skinner and they were blessed with two sons, Alan and Steven. They were married for 71 years. Robert is preceded in death by his wife, Lucille. He is survived by his two sons, Alan (Jeanette) and Steven (Junghi); and a granddaughter, Simone.
