Vernon Rudolph Strong, age 89 of Waconia, Passed away on December 2nd with his family at his side. Preceded in death by his wives, Joyce and Jean; daughter, Susan; a sister, Mildred Bean and two brothers,Marlon and John Strong. Survived by daughters, Ann (John) Curtis and Amy (Martin) Jensen; grandsons, Joseph (Jamie) and Matthew (Michalina) Curtis and Mark Jensen; great-granddaughter, Daisy Curtis.

Vern was one of the first people my husband and I met when we moved to Victoria MN from Fargo ND 6 years ago. What a kind, gentle and enjoyable man. He had zest for life, and enjoyed people. It was comforting to me as he also knew some of my old Hoff family members from Fargo years ago. MY husband and I had just mentioned a few days ago that we had not seen him for a while and hoped he was well. rest is peace Vern and thank you for your friendship.
Amy and Ann – I was sorry to read of Vern’s passing. He was such a fun person. May the many memories be of comfort to you at this difficult time. “Death leaves a heartache no one can heal. Love leaves memories no one can steal.”
Very sorry for your loss. I always enjoyed visiting with Vern when he was at the lake. And at the Cormorant Pub missed him last summer.
I stumbled across this obit by accident but the Strong family were our great neighbors on 76th street in Richfield for many years. Such a great family and great neighbors. May Vernon rest in peace. God Bless
