Ward D. Ring, Sr., age 90, of Richfield. Born April 2, 1926 to Leonard and Hattie Ring in Minneapolis. Passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 2, 2017. Graduated from Washburn High School, served in the Army Air Corps WWII, graduated BBS from the University of Minnesota. Retired Honeywell. Charter member and elder Hope Presbyterian Church, Richfield. Loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Survived by loving wife of 69 years, Carolyn; children, Linda (Gary) Haugen, Peggy (Joe) Schierl, Diane (Phil) Pflepsen, and Ward Jr. (Sandy); grandchildren, Melissa (Ryan) Hedwall, Laura (Luke) George, Erik (Jillian) Haugen, Chris (Dalanna) Pflepsen, Kelsey Pflepsen, Ashley Ring, and Mishawn Ring; great-grandchildren, Micah Hedwall, Brenden and Maya George, Caroline, Mason and Casey Ward Haugen.
Memorials preferred to Hope Presbyterian Church or donor's choice.

We loved this dear man so much. He was an inspiration to our family with his kindness and generosity. The island will not be the same without you Ward – you truly will be missed.
