Barbara Jane Halsne - Morris Nilsen Funeral Chapel

August 26, 1946 - March 24, 2019


Barbara Jane (Worth) Halsne, age 72, of Richfield, passed away on March 24, 2019. She was a 40 year employee of Fairview Southdale Hospital and a longtime active volunteer at Woodlake Lutheran Church, Richfield. Most of all she loved to spend time with her family (especially her grandchildren's activities), and friends (especially her beloved "fall fling friends").
Survived by children, Michael (Melissa) Halsne, Michelle (Jason) Lee and Nicole (Daniel) Cagley; grandchildren, Ryan and Jake Halsne, Jared and Gretchen Lee and Nate and Grant Cagley; sister-in-law, Kathryn Worth; nephew, David Worth and niece, Sarah Mittelstadt and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Evelyn Worth and brother, Leonard Worth.

    Barb was a very dedicated employee in the Radiology Department at Fairview Southdale Hospital. As one of the radiologists that worked with her, we appreciated her hard work and all she did for us and our patients! Our very best wishes and sympathy to her family.

    From the time I started working at Southdale Hospital in 1985, Barb stood out as one of the most caring, competent, and enjoyable people to work with. I especially enjoyed talking Gopher basketball with her. She was always responsive to any crisis or problem within the department or hospital. I will miss her greatly.

    So sorry for your loss. Our parents were good friends and I remember visiting when I was a kid and how welcoming she was. I also have nice memories of Barb bringing us to some Gopher games at the Barn with a lot of cheering. She was such a kind person with a big smile. Best wishes and sympathies to her family.
