Survived by wife, Marie Selchow; sons, Steven (Kathryn) Selchow and Brian Selchow; grandchildren, Sarah (Kevin) Amries, Michael Selchow and Nicholas Selchow; great-grandchildren, Izaak Amries and Maya Amries; siblings, Neil Selchow and Jo LaPlante. Preceded in death by wife, Marilyn Selchow; daughter, Kathy Selchow; grandsons, Chris Selchow and Aaron Selchow; parents, Herman & Lillian Selchow.

Marie, Steven & Brian..so sorry for the passing of Gene. He was always a great cousin and friend to me. I won’t be able to attend his funeral, but my thoughts and prayers are with you.

All of us who grew up in Plato were blessed! We knew each other so well and yet, we loved and enjoyed each other. Being a neighbor to the Selchows was a delight. And Neil knows I can’t talk about your family without reminding everyone of Herman’s famous words to his baseball team: “Be a man, now — be a man!” My memories are warm along with my prayers for all of you. Neil, we always looked forward to our class reunion. Now I look forward to the one God has waiting for us in Heaven. Warmest blessings.
