Girley Mae Gibson

Girley Mae Gibson-Neumiller, age 67, of Richfield, formerly of Chicago, IL, passed away on December 5, 2021.

Girley was beloved by many. She is survived by her husband, three children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Girley loved going to church every Sunday. She loved art and music of all kinds - her favorites were gospel music and the Supremes. One of the last albums she purchased was The Supreme's Greatest Hits.

Girley was the 'Mother' of our church. When you talked to Girley, she humbly acknowledged all that God had bless her with. She openly discussed her struggles, and how God took many of those struggles from her.

Girley was a beloved member of the community in which we lived. She had many friends whom she talked to on a regular basis and who knew her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. When Girley needed something, these friends were there to lend a hand.

Girley had a smile that was infectious and would light up a room. Her laugh was contagious. Girley also had an uncompromising commitment to the truth.

She will be forever missed.
