Tom Allen Rappe, age 74, of Richfield, MN passed away on January 24, 2022. He was born in Faribault, MN to Irvin and Edna (Laudert) Rappe. The youngest of 4 boys, he attended grade school at Peace Lutheran Church in Faribault and high school at Concordia Academy, in St. Paul, class of 1965. He graduated from Concordia College, St. Paul, in 1972 with a degree in elementary education. He taught grades 4-8 at Trinity Lutheran Church, in South Minneapolis. Tom married Diane Schreiner on June 29, 1975. They had two children, Erin and Jacob. He then worked for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota until he retired. Tom enjoyed fishing, woodworking, family time and was a member of the Richfield Optimist Club.
He is preceded in death by his daughter Erin, his parents, and 3 brothers, Richard, Roger and Charles.

I was so sorry to hear of Tom’s passing. I enjoyed knowing Tom and working with him at BC. He was such a sweet person. His smile and the twinkle in his eyes brought happiness to everyone who knew him. Sending my thoughts and prayers to Diane and his whole family.

I worked with Tom at Blue Cross Blue Shield for many years.
Tom always had a smile.
One memory of Tom is the night Tom and I “slept” in the South Dale parking lot to be in line for the Twins World Series tickets that went on the sale the next morning. We were with a few hundred other people!
