Virginia Lorraine Thompson
In loving memory of a life well-lived, Virginia Thompson was carried by angels to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 10, 2022. Virginia was born to parents, Chet and Marian Wentworth on March 27, 1924. She celebrated her 98th birthday with champagne on March 27, 2022.
Virginia married Clyde Thompson soon after graduating from high school, at which time Clyde was in the Air Force. They were Blessed with 3 children: Kevin, Tonya and Peter.
Virginia was a head majorette in the Minneapolis Aquatennial while in high school. She was passionate about and loved dancing. Following high school, she started a very successful dance studio, teaching tap and ballet to children.
Virginia and Clyde both loved flower gardening, and their gardens were featured in a local home and garden magazine, along with tours of their gardens. At an early age, Virginia accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior. She was most passionate about studying the Bible, while she and Clyde participated in group Bible Study.
She deeply mourned the passing of her husband, Clyde; son, Kevin; and younger brother, Wayne Wentworth.
She is survived by her brother, David (Evelyn) Wentworth; daughter, Tonya Thompson; son, Peter (Gina) Thompson; grandchildren, Ashley Allison, Talia Thompson and Bianca Thompson; great-grandchildren, William Allison, Lucas Allison and Lexi Allison; daughter-in-law, Jannick-Rolland Thompson; and former daughter-in-law, Therese Thompson.
Virginia was affectionately known as Ginny. She passed with unwavering faith in her Heavenly Father, the very foundation upon which she has built her life. She loved to entertain, congregate, celebrate and support others. She will be deeply missed!
