Kenneth Duane Amundson

Kenneth Duane Amundson of Richfield, MN, passed away, leaving his earthly body, on Thursday, May 26, 2022, after sixty-six years of age. He had been struggling with health issues for some time, but we were all unaware of how serious they were and so his passing caught us all by surprise. Ken was a man of few words, but he had an amazing voice and the musical talent to go with it playing in various bands in his youth. Ken also loved fishing and hunting; the great outdoors is a passion he passed on to his kids. In recent years, he was unable to enjoy the outdoors as he once did, but we know he is already trolling for Muskie again in plentiful, more heavenly bodies of water. Ken was preceded in death by his father, Harold Amundson; and his sister, Kathy Clausen. Survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Gail Amundson; two children, Rob Amundson (future wife, Erica Kamantauskas) and Jake Amundson (girlfriend, Emily Mylander and son, Bentley); two grandchildren, Michael and Vasara; his mother, Mabel Amundson; two siblings, Susan Dietsche (husband, Neal) and Thomas Amundson (wife, Lori); two loyal granddogs; and many nephews and nieces, and their families, and friends.
