David Carl July
Age 74, passed away peacefully in Las Vegas, NV on 1 Apr 2023. He was born on 6 Oct 1948 in Rochester, MN to Gordon and Prudence July and grew up in McVille, ND. After graduating high school, he joined the Army and served with A Troop 4/12 Cavalry in Vietnam. Upon returning home, he worked for Reserve Mining in Silver Bay, MN and later Sandoz/Novartis in the Twin Cities, MN until retirement. He was an extremely talented handyman who could repair or build anything he put his mind to. As an avid sports fan, David enjoyed playing softball and watching his favorite Minnesota teams, the Vikings and Twins. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, shooting pool, and playing cards with family. He is survived by his two children Lindsey and Brandon (Stephanie) and his four siblings Connie, Jeanine (Craig), Mary, Gary (Linda), and all of those lives he touched.

I knew David as a young man growing up North of McVille, he was our neighbor. Then the family moved in to McVille and David was in my sisters class. We visited at the all class reunion in 2006. Very nice man.
So sad to learn of your death, David. You were one of my very favorite troopers in the A 4/12. We will all miss you. Rest in peace.
