November 5, 1938 - December 10, 2023
Sharon Anne Johnson (Lord), age 85, was born on November 5, 1938 to Kenneth Terry Lord and Hazel Evelyn Bergstrom Lord in Crosby, MN. She was ushered into Heaven on December 10, 2023 by her Lord and Savior Jesus. There she was united with her loving husband, Ronald; infant son, Terrence Gene; parents and sister, Kay Gasal and brother, Vincent Terry. Her Sunny, kind and loving disposition earned her the nickname Sunny, Grandma Sunny to a few blessed people!
Sharon graduated from Two Harbors High School in 1956. She then moved to Minneapolis and worked for the Minneapolis Water Department for 6 years. She then began her career of bookkeeper for her husband’s companies, which she loyally did for 40 years.
Sharon is survived by her three children, Deborah (Michael), Elizabeth, Rebekah (Mike), her 13 grandchildren, Benjamin (Courtney), Jennifer (Philip), Matthew (Tianna), Johnathan (Courtney Lark), Joshua (Amanda), Danielle (Tyler), Grant, Bethany, Rachel, Zechariah, Michael Jr., Ryan (Holly) and Reid. 13 Great grandchildren, numerous nieces & nephews.
Sharon’s quirky sense of humor, lighthearted spirit, love of animals, children, and music, endeared her to many. She had a fascination for antiquity, and was an archaeology buff, avid reader, enjoyed baking, gardening, murder mysteries, crime, shows, knitting, sewing, and had a big love for British humor.
ALL kids were welcome at her home and pool for swimming & chocolate malts.
She loved the holidays and her Halloween parties were memorable.
After attending her Bible Study Fellowship class approximately 20 years ago, she called her daughter joyfully, exclaiming, “I gave my heart to Jesus today!”
She would choose a DQ blizzard over anything offered, but enjoyed preparing and decorating for holiday feasts as well.
Sharon is Loved, remembered and admired for her carefree spirit and love and devotion to her husband of 60 years, the family they created and all the critters they cared for along the way.

My deepest condolences to her wonderful three daughters Debbie, Liz and Becky, and all the grandchildren and son-in-laws… I have great memories of Mrs. Johnson on our Rosemary Lane block, growing up as a kid. What a welcoming and friendly woman her and her husband Ron were to all us neighbory kids.
Dear Becky, Liz, and Debbie, We are so sorry to hear about your mom. The highlight of every Halloween was taking Noah to see Sharon’s elaborate costumes. At Christmas her decorations were beautiful and fun. We loved seeing your mom and dad enjoying themselves driving down Rosemary Lane in their antique cars during the summer. Your mom and dad never missed wishing us a Happy Hanukkah and we put out one of their cards every year – it’s beautiful. Your mom also made a point to always remember Noah’s birthday with a card and gift. But my favorite memories were the long talks I had visiting with her in her family room and next to the pool. Lots of memories. We will miss her and are so grateful we got to know her. You are in our prayers. Andrea, Daniel, and Noah Rutman
