Elita Ozolins, age 94, of Minneapolis, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, April 26, 2024. She was born January 29, 1930 in Latvia.
She is survived by her husband, Janis; daughter, Sandra (John) Plifka; grandchildren, Mara (Nick) and Dane (Brielle); and great-grandsons, Brayden and Dawson.
Elita will be remembered as very kind and loving by her family and friends, whom she treasured greatly.
Her Latvian heritage was very important to her, singing in the church choir, attending song and dance festivals and visiting relatives in Latvia.
Elita enjoyed time at the Ozolins cabin in Pequot Lakes, where she and Janis hosted many memorable get togethers.

Dear Sandy, Janis, John, Mara, and Dane:
We will remember Elita as a lovely, elegant woman who was kind to all and had a sparkling sense of humor.
When Elita and Janis visited Latvia, we criss-crossed the country with them, visiting beautiful places like the castle at Mezotne and the vineyards near Sabile.
Elita had a strong Christian faith, and we believe that she is now in a much, much better place. She will be missed!
