April 26, 1941 - June 21, 2024
Elizabeth “Betsey” Snyder (née, Sorenson)
Age 83, of Minneapolis, passed away June 21 after a long illness. Betsey was preceded in death by husband, Kenneth Snyder; mother, Edythe Sorenson; and son, David Snyder.
Betsey was born in Minneapolis on April 26, 1941, and graduated from Central High School in 1959. She was a stay-at-home mom, raising four kids into the early 1980’s. She started working at Musicland Group HQ until they relocated in 1995. She then moved across the parking lot to Paper Warehouse HQ, until they closed in 2004. She loved traveling with Kenny, family and friends to places like Hawaii and Florida. She was an avid gardener and loved to read and sew. Betsey had many friendships that enriched her life over decades, and she loved her family and friends dearly. She enjoyed family gatherings and hosting parties for whatever reason. We will always remember the lefse, noodle ring salad, crunchy PB&J’s, Latte Schmattes, and her liberal use of the phrase Uff Da! She will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Betsey will be dearly missed by her family: children, Stephen (Abby), Wayne (Jacque) and Lori (Joe); daughter-in-law, Linda Snyder; grandchildren, Joseph (Ashley), Cory, Rachel, Hailey (Greg), Mitchell (Ana) and Bradley; great-grandchildren, Jayce, Lily and Jack; brother, Bill (Elaine) Sorenson and many nephews, nieces, cousins, family and friends.
Special thanks to the caregivers at Apple Valley Village Health. Private family interment at a later date.
