Richard William “Rich” Gottfried

Richard (Rich) William Gottfried of Bloomington Minnesota went to be with his Savior Jesus Christ Sunday September 8, 2024 peacefully after a brief time in the VA Hospital in Minneapolis Minnesota.

Rich is survived by his loving wife, Gayle, of 26 years; children Amanda, Andrew (Deana), Adam (Tammy) and Jason (Samantha); grandchildren, Alexis, Morgan, Jordan, Jaylin, Audrey, Noah, Quentin and Dominic; and many nieces and nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rose and Henry; siblings, Eugene, David, Robert, Jerome, George, Jeanette, and Margret; and grandson, Cody O'Renic.

Richard William Gottfried was born on 10-05-1945 in Milwaukee Wisconsin. The family moved to St. Cloud Minnesota when he was a young child. He graduated from Tech High School in St. Cloud and not long after enlisted and proudly served as an Airman in the United States Air Force.

26 years ago he and married the love of his life, Gayle, and settled down in Bloomington, Minnesota near family.

He faithfully read his Bible daily. And, loved to talk about what he read. In many conversations with Rich, the one thing that he wanted most of all to be shared at his Celebration of Life with everyone is the Love of his Savior Jesus Christ and an invitation to accept Jesus Christ as your own Savior.
