Ann Theresa Wheeler

Age 97, of Richfield, died on December 12, 2023. Ann was born on November 4, 1926 to Fred and Emma (née, Klug) Harguth in Wilton Township, Waseca County. Ann began her education at the Pink Schoolhouse in rural Waseca. She then graduated in 1945 from Good Counsel Academy in Mankato, Minnesota. June 9, 1951 Ann married Robert William Wheeler at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Waseca, Minnesota. They made their home in Minneapolis and later moved to Richfield to raise their four children. Ann and Robert shared forty-eight years of marriage before Robert passed away. Ann enjoyed vegetable gardening and her part-time job at Korner Plaza in Richfield. She was a dedicated member of St. Margaret’s Calendar club as a long-term parishioner of St. Peter’s Catholic Church.

Ann is survived by her children, Margaret (Edward) Gerszewski, Jean Wheeler, Kathleen (Brian) Lokken and William Wheeler; grandchildren, Sara Gerszewski, Joshua Lokken, Emily Lokken; sister, Gertrude Donelan; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Ann was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sister, Rosemary; brothers-in-law, John Britton and Gerald Donelan; grandchildren, Michael Gerszewski-and Scott Gerszewski.
