Bernard Mittelsteadt

Bernard A. Mittelsteadt, of Richfield, passed away on October 26, 2015, surrounded by family. Bernie graduated from Janesville High School, served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War and received a Civil Engineering Degree from Purdue University. In 1956, he joined the engineering firm, OSM, and served as its President for more than 20 years. He was a member of Woodlake Nature Center's Board of Directors, president of Berea Lutheran Church, chairperson of the 3rd district of Minnesota's Republican Party and coach for numerous Richfield youth athletic teams. Bernie was married to his beloved wife, Carol, for over 50 years. He will be dearly missed by Carol; son, John (Lisa) Mittelsteadt; daughter, Ann (Chris) Tillotson, and grandsons, Marcus, Michael and Matthew Mittelsteadt and Max and Jack Tillotson.
