August 13, 1932 - January 4, 2021
Age 88 of Richfield. Passed on January 4, 2021. Bonnie is preceded in death by parents, Frank and Orpha Paddock; her loving husband of 68 years, Philip W. Bemis. She is survived by her children, Cheryl Bemis, Mike (Teresa) Bemis; grandchildren, Chelsea (John) Love, Shelby & Hunter Bemis.
Bonnie retired from the banking industry after 30+ years of service. When she was a young girl she developed a passion for dancing. It was her gift and she danced beautifully. She held the head majorette role for Roosevelt High School in the 1950’s and was a member of the first dance troupe that began paving the way for dance lines everywhere. After raising her family, Bonnie very much enjoyed being a part of Allan Lotsberg’s Fogey Follies with her husband Phil for several years. Another passion was her love for dogs and horses. She has taught us all how to love and cherish our 4 legged friends. She also enjoyed supporting her grandchildren as a spectator in their chosen sport.
Alzheimer’s began to take over her healthy mind and she spent the last few years well cared for & loved in a memory care facility in Richfield. If you had an opportunity to have a conversation with her, you loved her. She was thoughtful and kind, always had compliments, a smile, and lots of laughs for those caring for her.
Open visitation will be held on Thursday, January 14 at Morris Nilsen in Richfield from 3-5 pm. Interment will take place in Fort Snelling Friday, January 15 at 10 AM.
