Carolyn J. Johnson

Carolyn J. Johnson (nee, Heusinkveld) passed away peacefully at home on September 1, 2017 in Richfield, Minnesota at the age of 84. Carolyn was born on February 24, 1933 in Preston, Minnesota to Carroll and Emily Heusinkveld. She graduated from Wykoff High School in 1950 and married Don of Spring Valley in 1952. After moves to Kenyon, Norwood and Mankato they settled in Richfield. Carolyn worked the counter for Pilgrim Cleaners at The Hub for twenty five years. Although she enjoyed meeting all the people there, her real love and passion was working with children which she did for many years in her retirement. She loved life, her family and people and had a smile for everyone. From her beloved neighbors, to her lawn and newspaper man, no one was left out. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald “Don” Johnson of Richfield, Minnesota. Carolyn is survived by her sons, Richard (Linda) Johnson of Grand Prairie, TX; Randy (Donnis) Johnson of Burnsville, MN; Brother, Ross (Seann) Heusinkveld of Spring Valley, MN; Sister Elaine Lichty of Newnan, GA; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three nieces and one nephew and many cousins whom she dearly loved. Interment, Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
