Clayton G. Spranger

Clayton G. Spranger, of Edina. Clayton was called by God to be His servant and received his final call on March 8th. He was 98 years old. He entered the relatively new profession of Church Business Administration at the age of 40, selling out his retail shoe store in Wauwatosa, WI. He served churches in Long Beach, CA, Milwaukee, WI and in Minneapolis, Central Lutheran Church, where he teamed with Dr. Hoover T. Grimsby. He also performed many ministerial duties over the years, but was not ordained. He was elected President of NACBA (National Assn. of Church Business Administration) in 1971. He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Mary Ann (nee Niquette); sons, Jeffrey (Patricia) and Scott (Barbara); as well as 6 step-granddaughters.
