We are so sad to hear of Curtis’ passing. He was our Nebraska Game buddy – we always got together for each Nebraska game at our house or at the Kinkaid’s. We will miss his wonderful sense of humor, his Nebraska football knowledge, and reminiscing about the ‘good old days’ at Nebraska! We met Curtis at a Nebraska Gathering at Joe Sensors several years ago, found out we both grew up in Northeast NE and were at the U at the same time. We’ve watched the Nebraska games together ever since! He will be greatly missed but we’ll think of him during every game – and especially if we win because he always insisted on a shot of peppermint schnapps when we won!
So sorry for your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.
On behalf of the members of the Minnesota Military Figure Society, I extend our condolences. Curtis was a longtime club member with a vast knowledge of history and a highly creative scale modeler. It’s more than just a pun to say that we looked up to Curtis. He was a good man and a good friend, and he will be missed.
Curtis was one of the nicest people I knew, cheerful in adversity, with a kind word for everyone. He will be deeply missed
A large person with a large heart. Truly an exceptional human being. Anyone that crossed his journey on earth is better to have known him. Condolences to Curtis’ family.
Curtis and I would have a yearly bet on who could finish a model for next years Nordi-Con Model show. Of course he always won because he was very good at the details. I will miss him dearly. we had some great times over the years at Applebees after meetings or driving to Rochester for a show.
