Dennis J. Ryan, age 83 of Minneapolis, passed away peacefully on July 30th. Proud graduate of Washburn High School class of '49 and served in the Marine Corp as a Sgt. during the Korean War. Retired in 1994 after 27 years from the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board as its Director of Engineering. Longtime volunteer at Fairview Southdale Hospital. Loved hunting, fishing and spending time at his cabin. Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 60 years, Carol; his parents and 2 brothers, Roger and Steven. Survived by his children and their spouses, Timothy (Janna), Michael, Susan (John), and Sarah (Tim); grandchildren, Jake, Matt, Grace, Mary and Jack; brother, Michael Ryan; sister, Margaret Hanson; and sister-in-law, Sue Gormley; as well as many other relatives and friends.
