Diane Carol Prohofsky, age 54, of Roseville, suffered a fatal fall in her home, Wednesday, July 15. She is survived by parents, Roy and Rosemary Prohofsky; brother Tom (Colette) Prohofsky; nephew and nieces, Ian (Kaija) Prohofsky, Anna Prohofsky and Kristina Prohofsky; grand-niece and nephew, Adelaide and Callum; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, including locally, the Dennis and Sandra Prohofsky family. Diane grew up in Richfield and earned a business degree at the University of Minnesota. After college she settled in Roseville working first at Minnesota Mutual Insurance Company and then at IDS Financial, capitalizing on her prowess with numbers and analysis. She loved swimming, waterskiing, games, gadgets and cabin time with her family. Her Christian faith inspired her to study and serve her church in worship and outreach. She learned sign language and artistically combined it with her praise music. She displayed a gentle and winsome spirit, believing the best of all she met.

I am so sorry to learn of Diane’s passing – we were classmates from RHS in 1979. She also grew up on 68th & Knox while I was on 69th & James…sometimes we would walk to the bus together; she was in my Home Ec. class in 7th / 8th grade and I would occasionally see her downtown walking through IDS. It seems we always had something to talk about. Diane was a good person and friend way back. The Heavens are fortunate to have her now…may she rest in peace and please know, your family is in my thoughts at this time.
