November 2, 1926 - June 22, 2019
Donald B. Thomton age 92 of Richfield. An Army veteran of WWII and a retired employee of Minnegasco, Don passed away peacefully with family by his side on June 22, 2019. Preceded in death by his wife, Mahala; sister, Ruth and brother, Vernon. Survived by sons, Dan, Jim and daughter, Jane (Doug) Campbell; grandsons, Dalton and Owen; niece, Carol and nephews, John and Steve. Also survived by Mavis Lewis and her family.
The Thomton family would like to acknowledge Megan and the entire staff of The Pines in Richfield for their kindness and compassionate care of Donald these last three months. Thank you!
Interment, Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.

From: Scot Woolley (Fishing Friend ) Oh wow, sorry to hear this news. He certainly left a lasting impression with all he touched……I’ll never forget “The Wedge”. I still have a Polaroid picture in my cabin of you (Larry)and Don posing with a mess of huge sunfish that we caught on Little Jessie. One thing is for certain, Don had a way to make anyone around him laugh. 92 is full life and he is fortunate to have had his health for most of those years. I’ll toast a happy hour beer in his name.
