October 21, 1917 - January 8, 2017
Dorothy was born to John and Theresa Lorang in Jordan, MN and died peacefully in her sleep at age 99. She was a homemaker, excellent cook and enjoyed baking Christmas cookies until she was 95. After her children were grown she worked for many years at the Lake Street Sears store in the banking department. She was preceded in death by husband, Wesley after 62 years of marriage; her sisters Lucille, Evelyn, and Genevieve; and grandson Jason Haasl. She is survived by son Dennis (Sharon) Ward, and daughter Kathleen (Ward) Haasl; and grandchildren Michael (Cristy) Ward, Shelley (Kevin) Ryan, Kimberly (Joel) Scherzer; and great-grandchildren Olivia Ryan and Emily Ward.
Services were held on January 18, 2017 at Morris Nilsen Funeral Chapel, and interment was at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
