We, Dave and JoAnn, Are so thankful for the many visits we had with Aunt Dorothy these past years. Either by phone or at her home, she especially enjoyed reminiscing of childhood memories and her and Wayne’s military assignment near London, England.
Aunt Dorothy always fondly mentioned all of you for having meals together, taking care of her lawn, and holiday gatherings. She proudly showed us the many difficult word puzzle and dot-to-dot books you gave her. We were amazed at her detailed capability in completing those books! Once, we even surprised her by taking her to a grandchild’s family birthday party. She was delighted!
We share with you in the sadness of her loss and pray that you will sense God’s comfort.
Nancy and I moved back to MN after many years out west. We were fortunate to have a nice visit with Dorothy this spring. She seemed very happy and reminisced about attending our wedding in Dodge Center 47 years ago. She also told us all about her cat who was very friendly with us. I told her about my biking adventures and she was missing riding hers – on doctors orders. At one of the past Prieve reunions at Aunt Clara’s one of the cousins made the comment about the “Prieve genes” not exactly built for longevity. Well, Dorothy set the bar at a new height at the ripe old age of 93. We’ll done Dorothy. RIP
