A proud Navy veteran, Fran served as a Hospital Corpsman at Bethesda Naval Hospital in Annapolis and received her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Wisconsin-Superior. She worked for Blue Cross/Blue Shield in Minneapolis until retiring.

She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Joe Novak, Sr.; son, Joe (Barb) Novak, Jr.; grandchildren, Brooklyn and Ryan; and sister-in-law, Dorothy Novak, MD. She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Norma Severson, of Eau Claire, WI.

Hailmary full of grace the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary Mother of God pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. AMEN.

  2. Laurie Curnow says:

“Mrs. France” was a one-of-kind, special lady. She created so many wonderful memories for my husband and then our boys, who spent a lot of time at the Curnow house on the other side of the fence from the Novaks. Thank you God for giving us Fran and for all of the precious memories. Rest in peace Fran. Our deepest sympathies go out to the Novak family.
