Frank Machovsky

Frank John Machovsky ("Bud"), Age 90, of Richfield, MN passed away in his home on January 3, 2015. Born April 14, 1924 in Pisek, ND, the youngest of 11 children of Frank and Annette Machovsky. He was preceded in death by his beloved son Dale Machovsky; his parents and 10 siblings. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years and caregiver for 11 years, Eleanor Machovsky; and daughters, Bonnie Spires (significant other Douglas Davis), and Sherry Grampre (Glenn); daughter-in-law, Jayne Machovsky; grandchildren, Tessa Melander (Andy), Tyler Nelson (Kristina), Trent Nelson (Marta), Troy Nelson, Megan Benefield (Chris), Ryan Spires (Rachael), Kevin Spires (Amanda), Daniel Machovsky, and Michael Machovsky (Kitsa); great-grandchildren, Cara Mia, Kurtis, Willem, Alyssa, Joie, Gunner, Elias, Micka, Dorian and Jamie; and many nieces and nephews. Frank enlisted for two tours of duty in the U.S. Army Air Corps, serving in the China-Burma-India campaign in WWII. He worked 23 years at Kurth Malting Company and served as a Teamster Local 792 shop steward. he retired at 60 and traveled with his wife Eleanor, visiting all 50 states. He loved to sing and laugh, had a cute smile and a great sense of humor; he was loved so much and will live in our hearts forever. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Fairview Hospice doctors and nurses for their compassion and the superior care they provided. He is finally free from pain and resting in peace.
