Gail P. Huwe

Gail P. Huwe, age 93, of Edina, passed away on December 7, 2024, in Bloomington, following a year-long illness. Gail was born to Lynn and Nora Philley on May 18, 1931, in Madison, MN. She was raised in Louisburg, MN until the family moved to Omaha, NE. There, Gail was active as a volunteer at Our Savior's Lutheran Church and graduated from Omaha Tech High School. Gail married Harold Huwe in May 6, 1951, in Omaha. In 1957, the couple moved to Minnesota, living first in Richfield, then Edina. She and Harold enjoyed travel throughout much of the world. They also enjoyed attending the theater together. They followed Minnesota sports teams, especially the Twins and the Timberwolves. Gail continued to watch games faithfully after Harold's death. Gail was an active member of Woodlake Lutheran Church. For many years, she worked in the church office.
Gail was preceded in death by husband, Harold; parents, Lynn and Nora; and brothers and sisters-in-law. She is survived by sisters-in-law, Marvel Ring and Carol Huwe, and by many nieces and nephews.
