Cheryl, I’m so sorry to hear about George’s passing. Worked with George for many years at Mesaba Airlines. Shared lots of great Mesaba adventures with George such as sending unusual comat on flights, like large traffic cones and old mufflers found on the road by the bag room, fallen off bag tugs among other things as a joke to friends who managed outstations, often at his instigation. He had a good sense of humor and was a great guy. We shared a common interest in airliners, Mopar muscle cars, die cast collectables and model trains so there was never a shortage of things to talk about while working. George will be missed by all who knew him.

  4. Ryan Reding says:

George was one of my favorite coworkers at Mesaba. I loved working for him as a luggage handler, and with him as a luggage coordinator. When needed, or in passing at work he always called me “Diesel”, a nicknamed I earned from my work ethic. He was a wonderful, friendly, humorous guy, and my deepest sympathy to all his family and friends!

I’m going to miss my little brother he was a devil growing up always played tricks on you. It was way to early in life to loose him but I know he is happy to be with mom and dad. Miss you Jr lots of love and hugs your little sister.

  8. Lynn Michels says:

Lil Bro words will never explain the emptiness you have left. Your witty sense of humor, the little shinaigins you’ve done. I will forever miss our bantering back and forth on cartoons and mostly our taste in cars . The thrill of fast cars and Mopars ❤️ You and your teddy bears . You maybe gone from earth but you will forever be in my heart ❤️. Love you- Sister to the east

  9. Becky Balder says:

George was a great guy to work with, and a good friend. Not did we only share the same spot as bag coordinators, I would take my sons to the hobby store and George was great to them. Always gave ideas for Scout projects and ideas for at home too. Cheryl, everyone will miss George!

  10. Deb Wilen says:

    Cheryl & Family,
I worked with George at Mesaba and Delta. He was even keeled, intelligent and so very kind. I always enjoyed seeing him on the F Concourse so we could chat. He often invited me to the Tower so I could observe the operation. He left this world too early. My deepest sympathies. Safe travels George ❤️
