Gladyce Mable Hamernes (nee Oftelie)

Passed away on November 24, 2019 at Lyngblomsten Care Center in St. Paul. Born March 5, 1930 to Alma and Oliver Oftelie in Thief River Falls, MN. Gladyce was a long-time resident of Richfield, employee of the federal government, and member of Berea Lutheran Church. Some of her favorite things were gardening and enjoying the wildlife in her backyard. Preceded in death by husband, Orvis; children, Kenneth, infant boy Hamernes, infant girl Hamernes; siblings, Helorise Grimsley, Adeline Vermillion, Joan (Howard) Ferris, Duane (Rosie) Oftelie, Beatrice Rairdon, and Roger Oftelie; and nephew, David Ferris. Survived by brothers, Winton (Kathryn) Oftelie and Dale (Marie) Oftelie; brother-in-law, Jerry Rairdon; many nieces & nephews and grand nieces & nephews. Funeral service will be held at 11 AM on December 2 at Berea Lutheran Church, 7538 Emerson Ave. S, Richfield with visitation one hour prior. Interment Oak Hill Cemetery.
