Herlanda A. Koosmann, was born to William and Amanda Reich on May 30, 1918 in Swift County, MN. She was united in marriage to Christ Koosmann on April 23, 1941. Herlanda and Christ farmed near Holloway, MN until 1964 and then moved to Bloomington, MN. Herlanda enjoyed doing crafts, embroidering and music and spending time with her family. Herlanda and Christ were married for 53 years until his passing on October 11, 1994. She was also preceded in death by her parents, brother Lyland and her son, Virgil. Survived by sister, Ruby (Merlin) Schulz; daughter-in-law, Joan Koosman; daughter, Phyllis (David) Derscheid, and son, Dale (Maggie) Koosmann; grandchildren, Lynnette (Vince) LoPresto, Dan (Jen) Derscheid, Vicki(Adrian) Thiele, Jay (Crystal) Koosman,, Amy (Jason) Werlinger and Adam (Dakota) Koosmann, and by 9 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2014, at 11:00 AM at Woodlake Lutheran Church, 7525 Oliver Ave. S., Richfield. Interment at Dawn Valley. Visitation is one hour prior to service at the Church.
