Jim will be missed. He was incorrigible and stuck in his ways which made him a loveable person to know for well over 50 years. We were the Garrisons back in days we worked at Macdonald in Edina Garrison was the garbage company that pick up Mac D’s waste and we had to jump in the dumpster to park it down so more garabage can be tossed in the dumpster
Jim once told me his philosophy of life.. it was simple. You only get one life.. as such you’re entitled to live as you want to, do what you enjoy, do what makes you happy, do what gives you peace. Jim lived true to his philosophy. RIP my friend. Whoop
I miss Jim. He will always be in my memories of 50 plus years. There were always interesting conversations and his opinions on matters were always clear, but he would listen to other’s opinions even if it had no chance of changing his. Most importantly we could always agree to disagree with that being OK.
Lots of fun times and a few more complicated. He certainly lived his life on his terms.
I remember once I tried to call Jim for a couple of weeks to chat (before cell phones) with continual no answers. I finally went to his house to check on him. When he answered the doorbell I was relieved to see him and I asked him if everything was ok because of all the unanswered phone calls. He just did his “moonshine chuckle” and said his mother had just stopped by for the same reason and he found out that he had turned off his phone ringer. He said “I was wondering why no one was calling”
I guess I know where to call now- thanks for the 50+ years of friendship.
See you on the other side dude! Miss you already!
He almost made it to the end of the dock…he tried…lol
