February 26, 1947 - October 31, 2023
A. James Andresen, age 76, of Richfield, passed away October 31, 2023. Preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife, Faye. Jim was a caring and humble husband, father, grandfather, sibling, and friend. Survived by his siblings, Joan, Janet (Scott), and Mark (Pat); son, Scott (Rachel); stepdaughter, Chris (Matt); stepson,
Larry; and grandchildren, Rose, Declan, and Nolan, as well as many other relatives and friends.
Jim was keeper of the family lore, a generous storyteller, and an avid sports fan. He loved to talk, but was a tremendous listener. He was a kind, patient caregiver who made sure his wife and beloved mother felt cherished before they rose into Heaven. He loved gathering with his family and friends, especially at our St. Patrick’s Day Parties. He was ever-present at his grandsons’ ballgames, and never shy about offering his unvarnished opinions. Jim Andresen was one-of-a-kind.
Rest in peace, Jim. You will be sorely missed by all who knew you.

Janet, Joan, Mark, and Scott: I am so sorry to learn of Jim’s death and wish you strength as you grieve this big loss. I feel fortunate that I was able to chat with Jim a little bit at the Anderson/Graff 50th-anniversary celebration in Austin this summer. We shared our “heart” stories.
Sending love and prayers as you navigate your way through this.

Jim and I use to attend wolves games together. Great man. Whole family was nice. Rest in peace Jim. Will see you again
So sorry Joan, Mark, Janet, and Scotty…as well as Jim’s grandchildren. It’s very difficult to lose a life-long friend as well. This is very close to home for all us Assumption folks. Jim will be missed.
Scott, our son, David P.shared with us the news about the death of your dad. So sad to hear of his passing.
We loved seeing Jim at the boys baseball games for a number of summers.
He was always an enthusiastic fan and friend to us.
God will give you strength, resolve and guidance every step of your new journey without your dad by your side.
We also pray that God’s tender mercy will comfort you as you move forward with life.
Joan, Mark, Janet, and Scott,
Jim was one of my oldest and cherished friends. Now, he is with his, and my, other cherished friend, Bob. It’s too sad to accept.
We will miss Jim immensely, he made us part of your family. His devotion to Scott, Rachel, Nolan and Declan was the most touching thing. We were grateful for Jim’s years of helping Rachel, who I know he loved dearly. We were so glad that she had Jim as not just a father-in-law, but a true friend. The boys could always count on Jim being at their games, especially baseball. It was awesome to see Scott carry on the tradition as being a baseball couch, and I know Jim was so proud of Scott, not only as a baseball couch, but for his success in his career, and his devotion to his family. Jim is just irreplaceable, and will never, ever be forgotten. With our deepest sympathy, and with love, Robin, Suzy and Billy.
My kids and I will dearly miss our neighbor Jim. He and I would often find ourselves at the front door of our apartment together to watch a passing storm. Jim loved to talk about his days selling cars, raising kids, and watching his grandchildren grow. He was always interested in hearing about the activities my kids were getting into. Jim loved sharing treats and snacks with the kids! He helped me on more than one occasion with a ride I needed when my vehicle wasn’t working well; he was always happy to help. Miles remembers that Jim was a very nice guy. Stella will miss “the nicest person in the apartment, so much.” I will sorely miss Jim’s kindness, his steadiness and his consistent presence.
Our sympathies to all who knew and loved Jim,
Kevan, Miles and Stella
