Kathleen Rae Olson
"Kathy"
78, of Garrison, MN. Kathleen passed peacefully with Jay and Jennifer at her side on January 30th due to complications from COPD and Pneumonia. Kathleen was a stay at home mom. She worked part time at Chicago Cutlery in the late 80’s. After Jay and Jennifer graduated, she worked for the Home Base program in the Wayzata school district. She absolutely loved her job. Then she gave the ultimate gift a mom could give and helped raise her grandson, Connor, while Darren and Jennifer worked. This was her favorite job…taking care of her “Connor Boy”. Kathleen always wore a smile. She was a great wife, mother, grandmother, sibling, and friend. She was a very talented artist. We often called her "our own Martha Stewart”. She will surely be missed by all. Kathleen was preceded in death by father, Edward Czupryna; mother, Mae Czupryna; brother, Gerald Czupryna; husband, Richard Olson. Survived by brother, Dennis (Gerri) Czupryna; sister, Susan Winkleman; son, Jay Olson; daughter, Jennifer (Darren) Ritter; grandson, Connor Ritter; nieces and nephews, Victoria (Aaron and Isaiah) Schmitz, Kyle, Kristopher and Kaelin Winkleman.

Jay, words are empty at a time like this. Just know I am thinking of you and your family. Memories are a wonderful gift your Mother has given you all! I love you, honey.
Dear Kathy’s Family,
My father was Harold Frederickson & he was a cousin to Mae Czupryna. Hi mother Amanda Lundberg Frederickson & she was a sister to Gramps Emil. I was sorry to hear of Kathy’s passing, she was a sweetheart. I have been in contact with Ingemar Bjallstrand,as he was looking for his grandfather, which would have been Gramps Emil’s brother. Ingemar’s grandma had a child, & would never tell the family the name of the father. I believe that Ingemar has been in contact with Ruby’s family & they are very interested in the ancestry. Ingemar found me on ancestry, so that is how he contacted me. If anyone in your family is interested, you may call me, Karen Frederickson Norberg, I live in the Mpls area. So sorry for your loss. Karen
