Laurie Lynn Moen
Laurie Lynn Moen was born in suburban Minneapolis on July 10, 1962. She was a lifelong resident of Minnesota where she especially enjoyed time on the North Shore. Her contagious laughter could lighten anyone’s day.
Laurie’s interests included spending time with her cherished cats who brought many years of pleasure. Her avid interests included gardening and photography. Laurie loved sharing time with her fiancé Todd Wittsack enjoying his culinary skills, watching sports on TV, and working together in the garden. They also enjoyed loving their dog Oscar
Laurie earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota and a master’s degree in education from St. Mary’s College in Winona, MN. She utilized her education in her career teaching students and coaching a swim team.
Among her other joys were visiting her mother in Florida and spending time at the beach searching for shells. Time with friends on social media was also important to her.
Survivors include her mother, Sandra Ellerbusch; siblings, Linda (Craig) Sandel, Steve (Karen) Moen and Mike (Susan Trahan) Moen, niece and nephew, Katie and Matthew Moen. She is also survived by her finance, Todd Wittsack and their beloved dog Oscar. Laurie was preceded in death by her dad Donald Moen with whom she shared many happy times.
Laurie was such a blessing to our family, especially to Todd. She will be so incredibly missed by all who were lucky enough to have known her.

Todd and his family were such a blessing to Laurie and gave her a happy and meaningful life. She dearly loved them all. I am very grateful they made her life special.
You were taken from us way too soon. Your smile will live on, ingrained in our memory. Rest peacefully.

I am terribly sad about your Loss. Sandy, there are so many memories of sleepovers ,meals around your family table, Girl Scouts and adventures. I pray for you all and hope you find peace in knowing that Laurie had a major impact on so many lives. I loved growing up with her and your family!
