LaVonne L. Tinker, age 93, of Richfield passed away peacefully on April 5, 2014. Born and raised in Redfield, South Dakota. LaVonne graduated from Yankton College, and during World War II worked for the Department of the Navy in Washington, D.C. Long time member and Sunday School teacher at Emerson United Church of Christ. LaVonne was an old fashioned, stay at home mom as she raised seven children during Richfield's glory years in the 1950's and 1960's. Preceded in death by her husband, John; parents, Albert and Lillian Lueck; brother, Raymond; and long time companion, Herb Wilson. Survived by sons, Steve (Kathy), Ted (Sheri), Nick (Mary Kay); and daughters, Patty (Andy), Jan (Randy), Cathy (Scott),and Debbie (Jim); and 14 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchldren. LaVonne's loving heart, wit and great sense of humor will be deeply missed.

Mrs. Tinker was a great mom and a great friend to the friends of her kids. She will be missed.
I will always remember LaVonne’s kind heart. She was a great neighbor and we had some really nice conversations about life, flowers, and trees. She has been missed and will forever be missed by our family.
