Lawrence R. Hibben, age 87, of Richfield, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2017, surrounded by his family. Born on the Bohemian Flats in Minneapolis on April 25, 1929 to Matthew and Suzanne (Bocko) Hibben. Preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Matthew, Michael and John; sisters, Suzanne, Mary, Eleanor and Anne. Survived by his wife of 62 years, Eilene; daughters, Lee Ann (James) Olson and Paula (Ray Sweeney) Benson; grandchildren, Jordan Hamilton, Tamara Olson and Ashley Benson; 3 great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Proudly served in the U.S. Army with the 216th Cml. Svc. Co. He was stationed in Colorado prior to being stationed in Nevada where he was part of the Nuclear Testing Project from 1951-1953. He was a member of the Graphic Communications International Union and worked in the Graphic Arts Industry his entire career. Lawrence was a lifelong member of Holy Emmanuel Lutheran Church. He was an avid bowler until the age of 82 and participated in many leagues and tournaments. He also enjoyed many varieties of sports and was a great fisherman.
