Leneesha Helen Columbus, age 27, of South Minneapolis. She is survived by her children, Lavell Lovelady, Lazayda Columbus Hester, Leneesha Hester; parents, LaDell Turnipseed and Leonard Columbus; siblings, LaShaumby Hester, LaRaysha McNeal, Markisha Hester, Joseph Columbus, Nevelyn Jones, and Barbara Jones; god brother and sister Marcus and Ebonie Kennedy and many other relatives.

Leneesha,
What makes a person great, their love, loyalty, honesty, and how their presence lights up a room. These are only some of the qualities my baby sister had. I can’t possibly begin to describe everything that she was. Nene had one of the biggest hearts I ever knew and she would do anything for anyone no matter if you were right or wrong, she was always on your side 100 %. I am grateful to have grown up with my sister. We never fought and always could share a good laugh. I believe the greatest bond is between sisters and they are your first best friends and someone you can always talk to about anything anytime. I will forever cherish the time I had with her. Nene baby, just know your sisters love you and will always hold you in our hearts. We promise to love and care for your babies with our whole hearts. Rest up, sweet baby. Although we would rather have you here with us, unfortunately, you were taken away from us before your time but I believe you are in a good place. I love you forever and always will. Until we meet again.

My Utmost Condolences to All Involved! Leneesha was one of my students. She Graduated from PPL, Project for Pride in Living’s Banking Class #44 on June 22, 2018. She was an Incredible Brilliant Light and in my world, had a Very Promising Future. Like all of my students, her picture is on my wall at home. The World is Less Bright With Her Candle Blown Out. Rest In Peace Young Jedi! To Her Family, I have 2 Photos of her if you want them.

It is with rude shock that I got to hear of the death of Lennesha yesterday. I had stopped over at Wells Fargo to do some transactions. Afterwards, I asked one of her former colleagues to pass on my regards to her whenever they got in touch but was shocked to learn of her painful death. She was a pleasant lady to work with, soft spoken, a shinning light whose life was cut short suddenly.
Our hearts go out to the family and pray that the good LORD will grant her eternal rest in His kingdom.

I grieve with you …, mourning the loss of someone is the last feeling of love you can ever feel. The sorrow is love. The tears are love . The memories are of love. As long as you keep that love she lives one in every one of you…. In her children. I share your pain, I too lost a family member to domestic violence. It’s been years and the pain is real knowning your loved one was taken by the hands of someone else playing God. May you all find peace knowning her love lives on!

    My Sincere Condolences,

    Shari Sturdivant
