Lois (Dreher) Drury

Lois (Dreher) Drury, age 93, was born on Christmas Day 1927; she died peacefully on May 8, 2021. Lois grew up in Minneapolis and graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1946. For 73 years, she met monthly with two groups of friends from high school! One of these, formed from her Luther League group, dubbed themselves the Sewing Club because they always did mending and sewing while they enjoyed each other's company. Lois was an excellent and adventurous cook, and expert seamstress. She especially enjoyed making intricate doll clothes. Lois was a wonderful mother! Her four children could count on her to create the perfect Halloween costumes every year, and put together the most fun birthday parties. She even made housework fun, as she played "Betty Baked Brownies" and other word games while doing dishes. Lois worked as an executive secretary for 25 years at Control Data Corporation.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Myrtle Dreher; her brother, Richard Dreher; and her husband, Earl Drury. She is survived by four children: Deb (Mike) Ellsworth; Judy (Dean) Cowdery; Jim (Patty) Kolbo; and Mary Ann (Ron) Bergantine. She is also survived by nine grandchildren: Kim, Joe, Zack, Devin, Alex, Sam, Jayme, Danna and Nick; and nine great-grandchildren.
